Assam floods: 70% of Kaziranga National Park submerged, animals taken to highlands
Due to the devastating floods in Assam, 70% of the Kaziranga National Park and its 95 camps were submerged in water and animals residing in the park were taken to the highlands. Parts of the Brahmaputra river is flowing above the danger mark due to the heavy rainfall. 150 people have been evacuated and at least 12 people have lost their lives since July 12.
