‘Delmicron’, not just Omicron, behind surge in cases in UK, US

The mega increase in Covid cases in Europe and the US is possibly a ‘Delmicron’ wave — a combination of Delta and Omicron variants — said a member of the Covid task force in Maharashtra. “Delmicron, the twin spikes of Delta and Omicron, in Europe and US has led to a mini tsunami of cases,” said Shashank Joshi, member of state government’s task force on Covid.
