Rajya Sabha passes Dam Safety Bill

The Rajya Sabha on Thursday passed the Dam Safety Bill, 2019, after Union minister for jal shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat rejected the Opposition’s charge that it was “unconstitutional” and “anti-federal”, encroaching upon the states’ legislative domain.
